Automobile "mediation" in the import segment, means that the automobile is imported on behalf of the customer, which import, financially supported by the same.
Portuguese law states that a private individual can buy / import the car by paying VAT in the country of origin (EU) and only the ISV in Portugal, while Commerce must buy without VAT, paying 23% (Portugal) instead of paying VAT in the EU country, and illegal double taxation practiced in Portugal, paying VAT on the ISV, which is not the case for Individuals.
While the Private is protected by the free movement of people and goods in the European Union, the Trader is subject to Portuguese law that states that any good, new or used, that enters the national territory for the purpose of being sold, owes VAT to the Portuguese State. That is, the dealer has to buy the car in the country of origin (EU) without VAT, add the price of the truck transport without VAT, add the Vehicle Tax (ISV - legalization) payable at Customs and on this total expenses have to add the 23% VAT. It will still be necessary to add the profit margin that the merchant understands as being the appropriate one to apply in each business.
Another advantage of the contract being concluded directly between the European and the private dealer, is related to the guarantees of the Brands and their official extensions (except the Factory guarantee, it is always valid as long as the maintenance plan has always been strictly complied with and that the vehicle in question has original / real mileage!).
The car, as soon as it arrives in Portugal, inspects for a new registration and is immediately transported to our facilities, where it will be reconditioned and prepared for delivery.
In this way, and before picking up the vehicle, the owner will be able to ask the technicians about any question related to it and have access to a set of important information to clarify any doubts related to the purchase made.
The final price of the vehicle announced by us is "Turnkey", that is, it is all included:
- value / price of the vehicle to be paid in the country of origin;
- truck transport to Portugal;
- forwarding agent;
- inspection for new registration;
- preparation for delivery (oil changes, filters, tires, pads, etc. );
- single document already on behalf of the client;
- ISV payable at Customs.
